About the CVB

The Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau promotes travel to Osceola County. The CVB staff develops and implements programs and activities that produce solid results through reliable relationships with marketing, advertising, sales and media constituents locally, nationally and abroad. Those efforts help encourage millions of yearly visitors to visit and stay in Osceola County, which is marketed worldwide as Kissimmee.

The area's popularity with travelers stems from its easy accessibility to Walt Disney World and Central Florida's many attractions. Recent resort growth and other planned developments further enhance Kissimmee’s appeal to leisure, business and sports travelers. A wide array of other activities, events, and adventures prompt Kissimmee visitors to return again and again.

A nine-member Tourist Development Council (TDC) appointed by the Board of County Commissioners oversees use of the Tourist Development Taxes, also called the bed or resort taxes. The TDC is comprised of three tourism industry members, three elected officials, and three non-tourism-related business representatives.
